Challenge: As a result of poorly designed marketing reports, the technology group at this company faced unsatisfied internal marketing customers who could not effectively access and understand customer data to drive marketing campaigns.  

Solution: Assessed marketing’s reporting needs and evaluated the existing reporting tool.  The in-house reporting tool was determined to satisfactory to meet marketing’s needs, but the report content needed to be improved from a data quality and lay-out perspective. Ten key reports were improved and a new process for creating ad-hoc reports was established.  At the beginning and end of the project an internal survey was conducted with 300 report users to assess satisfaction with the tool and the intelligence available.  Internal customer satisfaction with reporting increased by 40% by the end of the project.
